Along side 3 other amazing creators in the world of books, I’ll be presenting to students my experience becoming and being a librarian, passion for books and reading, and creating connections around books and stories through my podcast

Drinks in the Library is a conversation around the joy of reading a favorite book! In this live podcast interview librarian Gigi Howard will interview Newberry Award Winner and New York Times bestselling author, Meg Medina. Meg Medina’s books are beloved by people of all ages around the world, and Richmond Virginia is lucky enough that she calls it home.

While reading is often a solo endeavor, great books have the ability to bring people together. Whether in the discovery of a shared love of a novel or character, new friendships formed through book clubs or online fan threads, books have the ability to help us form connections and build community. The organizers of the Bon Air Book Festival hope to provide the intentional time and space for folks to come together with a shared love of reading and build community.
